3 Different Options Of Solar Conduit For Residential And Commercial Application

An experienced electrician would be able to install solar conduit easily. They would take care that they are fixed correctly. If a professional is installing the PV system without using conduit, then it is time for the owner to fire the person and hire a better and experienced professional in this regard.

While installing a conduit, the wire is pulled through the tubing and typically passed through walls, under driveways, secured to the exterior and even to the interior of a house. Conduit installation protects the wires in residential and commercial buildings as well.

The conduit can be defined as hard, durable protective tubing that completely covers the wires so that they are protected from external elements like water and sun. A solar power system without a conduit would mean the wire getting wet that could lead to corrosion and cause the PV system to suffer extensive damage that would need expensive repairs. Wires without conduit would heat up and in few cases start a fire, leading to an accident.

Manufacturers provide the owners with a wide range of conduits. The most commonly used designs are:

  • Metallic tubing: It is similar to rigid steel conduit but walls are less thicker. It is easier to shape but not tough. It is available in a flexible version also.
  • Non-metallic tubing: Rugged plastic is used in making of PVC conduits. This conduit is cheaper but strong and waterproof with a very low absorption rate.
  • Rigid steel conduit: This is the strongest type of tubing and resembles a thick metal pipe that is threaded on both sides. Its strength and durability make it one of the best choices. It is very difficult to cut or bend this conduit.

It is important for the professional to follow few rules while installing the system. This is mainly to increase the safety of people living and using it. Small steps would be of great help.

4 Main Reasons For Using Extrusion Profiles For Manufacturing Plastic Products

Plastic extrusion profiles in Melbourne are a manufacturing process that is used for creating a continuous profile, usually in high volume. The process creates two dimensional shapes on length, in the form of tubes, giving the third dimension to the object. The virgin or the recycled material is heated and then moulded to get the shape.

A wide variety of raw materials like nylon, ABS, PVC (both rigid and flexible), elastomers, etc are used in the process. The raw material decides the hardness of the final product. It could be rigid, semi-rigid or flexible. Many companies that are involved in manufacturing plastic use this technique extensively. The reasons for the high demand for the manufacturing process include:

  • High speed, huge volumes at low cost: The technique used for the manufacturing process would help in making of items in large quantities, and that too in a short period of time. The melted material would be passed through a mould, giving it the shape. The large pipes like structures are then cut in the required length to get different parts.
  • Versatility: the technique is used to manufacture various objects of different layers and shapes as well. Complex shaped objects can also be made through this process, in a short interval. The items that can be manufactured would vary in thickness, colour, shape and texture as well.
  • Co-extrusion: The process of involves liquid molten plastic being fed into extruders, at different speed and thickness, into a single head. This helps in forming the required shape.
  • Alterations: The plastic remains hot even after the process, this would help the users to modify these pieces and give them the desired shape. A variety of rollers, die and shoes are used to get the required part.

Many manufacturing companies would provide the option of customization as well. This could be in terms of thickness, colour textures etc. Few people would ask for inclusion of additives that could help in durability, fire resistance and ability to reduce friction.
